Training

  • Started in 2002 on the level of 10 Governorates in addition to Greater Cairo as a main workshop followed by regional following-up workshops aiming at training the local organizations on citizens' needs, and at building their capacity to face the existing environmental violations in their local communities.

    These training courses were conducted by an elite of specialized experts in the fields of environment, development and training. The training is delivered to almost the same group of local organizations in the different Governorates.

  • HCER has held three training courses for lawyers about the local and international legislations pertaining to the environment and its protection.
  • Conduction a training course for a group of the volunteers about the environment, natural resource and environmental rights.
  • Additionally, the HCER has set up three main workshops for local organization in different governorates:
    1. The first workshop was help in Cairo on 28/12/2003 regarding environmental rights and the necessary legal steps necessary to face environmental violations.

    2. The second workshop was held in El Minia Governorate regarding the importance of participation in managing resources and in taking decisions regarding the environment, the right to freely access information, and pursuing legal measures in cases pertaining the environment.

    3. The third workshop was held in Cairo Governorate and it was about environmental sustainability and its necessity for the present generation and the coning ones and its relationship with the poverty.

  • The HCER emphasizes practical training during the workshops. It is also interested in providing technical support to local NGO's and conducting visits to help them in facing environmental violations.
